Latest Poem

I've had quite a rest since I last did any poetry. This poem I started in China, but for some reason, I didn't finish it, so I finished it off a couple weeks ago. Hope you like it.

Judgement Day

I had a dream
Last night, in my sleep
Of a group of goats
And a group of sheep

They were in a courtroom
Before the Judge
The courtroom was full
There was no room to budge

It was the time to decide
Who should live and who should die
My heart was deeply moved
As I watched the Judge cry

He cared for both groups
Yet, He had to control His feelings
So He wiped away His tears
And continued the proceedings

He sentenced the goats to death
To the sheep gave He life –
A life with Him forever
A life free from strife

Each earned their just reward
No-one was favoured more than another
Each was judged according to his deeds
And how he had treated the Father

Thus ended my dream
When I awoke with a start
With the question still ringing,
“Was I a sheep or a goat?”

I also have another poem which I'll put up sometime later.

Opening Cermony

Finally, it's all over!!!! This morning my school opened it's third stage in it's building project. After planning madly all last week, we were finally able to get it over and done with. The guests all rocked up fairly promptly, and things started pretty much on time. Choir and Ensemble weren't too good. First, in the choir, the organisers forgot to leave gaps in the lines for those of us who weren't able to get into the lines earlier, then I started singing one part several bars too soon, and in the Ensemble, I had a separate part with another guy which didn't go to well either. It feels so good now that it's finished. I can now focus more on tomorrow night's ensemble competition (we're competing in the Queensland Youth Music Awards), and on Convention and the Yr. 12 Gradation Dinner. Things always seem to be so busy!!!
